Need to Make a Change? CCU Makes Transferring Your College Credits Easy

At CCU Online, we make transferring your college credits simple. For undergraduate students, we accept up to 45 transferable credit hours toward an associate degree and up to 90 transferable credit hours into our bachelor's degree programs. If you've completed graduate credits at another accredited university, you may be able to transfer up to 12 credit hours into a master's degree program. You read that right! Want to get started?

The potential credits you can transfer is a good portion of the credits you will need to be able to finish your degree.

How To Transfer College Credits to CCU

Order your official transcript from previous colleges.

Once you have applied to CCU Online, an enrollment counselor will reach out to you. Your enrollment counselor will have you order your transcripts and send them to CCU Online for our Registrar to review. You can send your official transcripts by email where they can be reviewed within a couple of days. You can also send them by mail where they will be reviewed within a couple of weeks.

Send unofficial transcripts to an enrollment counselor.

As you wait for your official transcripts to arrive at the CCU Online Registrar's Office, send your unofficial transcripts to your enrollment counselor. They will be able to tell you what may transfer towards your degree.

Reach out to your enrollment counselor to answer your questions.

Once your official transcripts are in and reviewed by our Registrar’s office, your enrollment counselor or student success specialist will contact you to discuss what has been transferred. They will be able to answer any questions you may have about transferring to CCU.

Investigate course substitution options.

Once you have reviewed your transcripts with an enrollment counselor or student success specialist, if you have outstanding general education or elective credits to fulfill, they will be able to walk you through additional options for further transfer credit evaluation. This can end up saving you a lot of time and money!

Another great way to earn credit and save money is by using StraighterLine. CCU Online and StraighterLine have partnered to offer students the opportunity to earn course credit, and general education credits, for a fraction of the cost of regular credit hours. Talk more with your enrollment counselor to see if this option is right for you.
