Biography and Professional Achievements
Dr. Menth has been teaching piano, piano pedagogy, piano literature, and music history at Colorado Christian University since 1998. Previously, she taught the same subjects at her alma mater, Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. Her special interests include music of the Baroque and Classical eras. She and her husband own several keyboard instruments patterned after devices from those eras. Dr. Menth performs both as a soloist and a collaborative pianist, and enjoys giving presentations to music teacher groups in the Denver area. She thrives on working with piano students of all levels, and finds great joy in helping students discover their ability to master musical skills.
Dr. Menth grew up in Minnesota, is married to Alfred Born, also a musician, and they have one child, Sarah Born, a microbiologist and musician.
