Dr. Keirnes has a private practice where she specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and marital and family distress. She works with teens, college students, individuals, and couples who feel stuck and out of control, guiding them in the process of empowerment and transformation.

Dr. Keirnes has experience in education, having previously worked as an early childhood educator as well as a therapist in a charter school setting. She has also worked in Christian Counseling settings such as The Lake Avenue Church Counseling Center and The Center For Individual and Family Therapy, where she provided counseling to clergy, families, and individuals within the church community.

She is passionate about integrating neuroscience and faith and provides consulting services to local churches, schools, and non-profits, educating clergy, teachers, staff, and parents on effective leadership skills.

Her educational background and passion for neuroscience have led her to focus on bringing an integrative perspective to the church. Her doctoral dissertation work accomplished just that by providing an integrative workshop designed to empower parents, caregivers, and leaders within the church with evidence based skills in line with the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
