What is CCU Online?
CCU Online is the online and accelerated program division of Colorado Christian University, officially called the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. You can earn a certificate, associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree through flexible online courses designed for working adults.
Who is CCU Online designed for?
CCU Online serves working adults, military service members and their families, career changers, and anyone completing or advancing a degree while balancing life commitments. Programs are built to fit around your life, not the other way around. Most courses run in 5-week blocks so you can focus on one class at a time.

What online degree programs does CCU offer?
CCU Online offers 100+ degree program options across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Popular programs include biblical studies, nursing, counseling, education and educational leadership, business, criminal justice, and information technology. Does CCU Online offer graduate certificates?
Yes. CCU Online offers graduate certificates in areas including Campus Event and Organizational Safety, Cyber Criminology, and Cyber Defense. Certificates are shorter than a full master's degree.
Does CCU Online offer doctoral programs?
Yes. CCU launched its first doctoral program in 2018 and now offers the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Most doctoral work happens online, though a few programs may require short on-site residencies. Program requirements are detailed in the graduate catalog.

How are CCU Online courses structured?
Most courses run in 5-week blocks (some programs use 7 to 10-week blocks). You can take one course at a time, which lets you focus deeply without juggling multiple workloads. Semesters follow a standard spring, summer, and fall rhythm with frequent course start dates throughout the year.
How much time per week do CCU Online courses require?
Undergraduate courses typically require 10 to 15 hours per week per course, and master's programs generally run 15 to 20 hours per week per course. Doctoral courses require more. When you take one class at a time, your weekly load stays focused on a single subject.
What technology do I need for CCU Online?
You need a reliable computer, a webcam, and consistent internet access. Courses run through the Brightspace learning management system, which works on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. CCU provides 24/7 technical support to help with login issues, software setup, and platform questions.

Do CCU Online courses include scripture and discussion of faith?
Yes. CCU combines academic rigor and biblical principles. All CCU Online courses include scripture-informed content, biblical principles applied to the discipline, and discussion board exchanges about how faith shapes professional decisions. The Bible is used in every class regardless of the subject matter.
Career Outcomes
How does CCU prepare students for professional licensure?
Licensure programs (nursing, counseling, education) build state-required coursework, supervised field hours, and licensure exam preparation into the curriculum. Nursing programs prepare students for the NCLEX-RN. Counseling programs meet CACREP standards for state licensure in most states. Teacher licensure programs meet Colorado Department of Education requirements.
