With the Project Management Certificate, students will develop skills related to strategic management, project-based teamwork, risk reduction, and budget analysis.
The Project Management Certificate helps you develop key leadership skills necessary for succeeding in today’s business environment. Through this certificate program, you will gain a cohesive bundle of knowledge, skills and processes that interact to attain organizational objectives. The project management training coursework emphasizes practical application and implementation in real-world business situations, with integration of social and ethical implications throughout.
Topics of study include project management fundamentals, project planning, scheduling and controlling, risk management and strategic project management. Course content has practical application in a variety of settings, from business to home management.
The Project Management Certificate is available as a stand-alone program, or students may transfer 12 credits from the certificate to a CCU bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management in Project Management. The Project Management Certificate can also be used to supplement a CCU bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or Organizational Management in Christian Leadership or Human Resources Management. The Project Management Certification is available at all 7 of CCU’s campuses or you can earn an online Project Management Certificate through our online learning community!
CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies is a R.E.P. (Registered Education Provider) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Our Project Management professional certification programs use the PMBOK® Guide (A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge) curriculum published by PMI and integrate biblical principles and the mission and vision of CCU as well. Our faculty are PMP certified. Our project management courses will provide you with the foundation you need to satisfy the education portion of the qualifications to sit for Project Management Professional (PMP)®* certification. As a R.E.P., CCU has been approved by PMI to issue professional development units (PDUs) for its courses. Note that only those who have already obtained their PMP or other PMI certifications can receive PDUs.
