Non-Discrimination Policy

Colorado Christian University adheres to all federal and state civil rights laws prohibiting discrimination and harassment in private institutions of higher education. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, dismissal, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.

Colorado Christian University will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, pregnancy, ethnicity, national origin, physical or mental disability, age, marital status, protected veteran or military status, or genetics. This policy covers nondiscrimination in employment and in access to educational opportunities. Therefore, any member of the campus community who acts to deny, deprive or limit the educational, employment, residential access, benefits and/or opportunities of any member of the campus community, guest or visitor on the basis of their actual or perceived membership in the protected classes listed above is in violation of the University policy on nondiscrimination. When brought to the attention of the University, any such discrimination will be appropriately addressed and remedied by the University.

Nonmembers of the campus community who engage in discriminatory actions within University programs or on University property are not under the jurisdiction of this policy, but can be subject to actions that limit their access and/or involvement with University programs as the result of their misconduct.

In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at CCU will be based on merit, qualifications, and abilities. CCU does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices. Colorado Christian University, being an evangelical Christian institution, reserves the right to make employment decisions based upon the religious convictions and moral integrity of the individuals involved.

Any employees with questions or concerns about any type of discrimination in the workplace are encouraged to bring these issues to the attention of their immediate supervisor or the Human Resources office. Employees can raise concerns and make reports without fear of reprisal or retaliation.
