Guest Information for Commencement Day
Registration and Ticket Details
- For entry into the Commencement venue, guests must present a ticket. Any person without a ticket will not be allowed to enter. No exceptions can be made.
- Tickets are only accessible to graduates who register to participate in Commencement through Tassel.
- Graduates can request tickets and provide those tickets to their guests.
- Graduates and guests are encouraged to print out their tickets to facilitate faster entry to the Commencement.
- Visit the venue website for a complete list of prohibited items.

Arrival
- Plan to arrive well in advance of the event, allowing for traffic, parking and walking, and security screening.
- Doors open for guest seating one hour before the ceremony begins.
- Seats that are saved for late-arriving guests must be released 15 minutes before each ceremony to accommodate present guests waiting to be seated.

What time should guests arrive at the ceremony?
- CAGS Ceremony: Guest seating begins at 8:00 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. ceremony.
- CUS/CCU Academy Ceremony: Guest seating begins at 2:30 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
Where do students and guests park for the ceremony?
Parking is available at Blue Arena for $10. Pay by mobile app upon arrival.
I’m disabled and need accommodations. Who do I contact?
Guests have access to handicapped seating and closed captions on event screens. Customer Service is available for further assistance. Visit the venue website for more information on guest needs.
CCU provides ASL translation for guests seated in section H inside the arena.
What items are not allowed in the ceremony?
Security reserves the right to inspect personal belongings brought into the Commencement venue. This includes bags/backpacks, purses, coats, and hats. Posters, balloons, noise makers, and other distracting items are prohibited inside the venue. If prohibited items are revealed during a search, the guest may be permitted to return to their vehicle with the item, or the item will be confiscated. CCU and Blue Arena reserve the final decision on items allowed into the event. Visit the venue website for a complete list of prohibited items.
Will restrooms be available for guests before the doors open at Blue Arena?
Restrooms will not be available to guests prior to doors opening at Blue Arena.
Please Note: The Graduate Check-In area is restricted to graduates and event staff only. The area is not accessible to guests. We recommend planning accordingly before arriving at the venue.
