CCU Launches Continuing Education Courses in Evangelism and Apologetics

Colorado Christian University, the flagship Christian liberal arts university in the Rocky Mountain Region, launched a new continuing education program featuring more than 20 courses and four certificate options through the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics. The new program will provide pastors, ministry leaders, small groups, and individuals with the tools necessary to serve as more effective ambassadors for Jesus Christ.

"We want these courses to help equip Christians at all stages in their faith journey to share Jesus with other people in a natural and effective way," said Lee Strobel, founding director of the Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics. "We want students to be able to answer questions and offer evidence for the truth of the Christian faith in an increasingly skeptical culture. Our hope is that they will become brighter light and stronger salt in the world around them."

The 100% online, self-guided, and low-cost continuing education courses were designed by Lee Strobel, Mark Mittelberg, and other leading experts. The non-credit-courses are designed to equip students to evangelize and spread the gospel message of Christ’s love for the world. For students who want to further develop their evangelistic skills, CCU offers six-course certificates in the areas of cultural engagement, global apologetics, innovative evangelism, and practical apologetics.

"These courses and certificates offered through the Strobel Center are a good opportunity to learn from the experts in a self-paced manner how to evangelize and confidently defend the gospel," said Dan Cohrs, executive vice president of CCU. "These new offerings help further CCU’s mission to provide Christ-centered education that transforms students to impact the world with grace and truth."

The new continuing education program furthers the mission of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics, which was launched in August 2019, to equip Christians, ministry leaders, and churches to effectively share the grace of God and confidently defend the truth of the gospel, in order to reach our world for Christ. The center also offers fully accredited bachelor’s and master’s degrees in applied apologetics. All courses and degree programs offered through the center are anchored in Scripture and train students to be practitioners and defenders of the Christian faith.
