Colorado Christian University Welcomes Acclaimed Educator Jeremy S. Adams for President’s Speaker Series
Lakewood, CO – Colorado Christian University (CCU) proudly hosted Jeremy S. Adams, a nationally recognized educator and author, for its President’s Speaker Series on April 24, 2025. The half-day event featured a student senate luncheon, book forum, and a moderated lecture with CCU President Eric K. Hogue at the McDonald Performance Hall.
Adams, author of Hollowed Out: A Warning About America's Next Generation, shared timely insights into the cultural and educational challenges facing today's youth, drawing from over 25 years of experience teaching government and economics in California. His message — both a warning and a call to action — resonated deeply with the CCU community.
“I was gripped with the passion that Jeremy has — the passion for the classroom, the passion for education, and the passion for our country’s founding and our conservative ideology,” said President Eric Hogue of Colorado Christian University. “He is a brother. He is full of energy.”
This appearance marked the university’s inaugural “Campus Read” author visit—an annual tradition where CCU students, faculty, and staff read a common book and then welcome the author for on-campus dialogue. Hollowed Out was selected as the inaugural title for this initiative, aimed at fostering community-wide reflection and intellectual engagement.
In addition to his keynote remarks, Adams spent the day interacting with students and faculty, sharing stories of his family’s legacy in education and emphasizing the need to equip the next generation with moral clarity and civic understanding.
Jeremy S. Adams has been recognized as the 2014 California Teacher of the Year by the Daughters of the American Revolution and was the first teacher inducted into the CSU Bakersfield Hall of Fame. He is celebrated not only for his classroom excellence but also for his voice in national conversations around education, youth culture, and America’s future.
The President’s Speaker Series is a signature initiative of CCU, bringing national thought leaders, educators, and public servants to campus to engage the community in conversations that align with the university’s Christ-centered mission.
