Biography and Professional Achievements

Bernard Prokop is a native Coloradan, but lived overseas for nearly 15 years, most of those in his adoptive homeland of Poland, where he was a volunteer with the Peace Corps.

He has been teaching for more than 25 years, from the high school to the college level, with experience in everything from the International Baccalaureate program to film history and criticism. In addition to his English Department duties, Prokop is also the founder and faculty sponsor of the CCU Film Series, now in its seventh year. He has presented at the Conference on Christianity and Literature, is a consultant for the ACT English section, and a College Board table leader for the AP Language and Composition Exam.

He lives in Arvada, Colorado, with his wife, Magda, and their three sons, Henry, Frankie, and Charlie.
