Meet Erin Buterbaugh

Biography and Professional Achievements

Erin Buterbaugh has been training dancers and creating choreography in the Denver area and across the Front Range for over 20 years. Specializing in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, and musical theatre, Erin’s choreography credits include Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, Anastasia, Beauty and the Beast, Bright Star, Tuck Everlasting, SpongeBob the Musical, Newsies, and The Nutcracker Ballet. In addition, she has created choreography for two national Dare2Share tours and served as the movement consultant for Color Inside the Lines (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022).

Erin’s students have been accepted into elite intensives and training programs including the Joffrey Colorado summer intensive, City Ballet of San Diego summer intensive, Colorado Ballet summer intensive, Colorado Ballet Academy pre-professional division, Ballet 5:8’s Conservatory and Trainee program, Milwaukee Ballet’s post-graduate pre-professional program, and Ballet Arizona’s pre-professional program. CCU dance students trained by Erin have performed as featured dancers in productions with Performance Now, Town Hall Arts Center, Veritas Productions, and Vintage Theatre.

Erin is a sought-after audition coach, competition judge, and production consultant, and is a 4-time Artist in Residence with High Country Fine Arts Association. Erin is passionate about helping dance students at CCU connect with classes and performing opportunities that stretch them as artists, grow them as athletes, and show the light of Christ to the world through dance.
