Faith and Learning

In her role at Colorado Christian University, Professor Sears views her primary educational mission as equipping students to exemplify the loving hands and feet of Jesus at the bedside through compassionate nursing care. Crucially, she wishes to generate this same feeling of spiritual grounding within her students, imparting to them the deep internal peace, confidence, and reassuring presence that comes only from the Holy Spirit.

"The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” (Holy Bible, ESV, Lamentations 3:24)
