Faith and Learning
Christians should have a conspicuous influence in the world in which they live. Matthew 5:14-16 instructs us to be lights in this dark world, to live lives of good works, to love our enemies, and to contribute to the thriving of the people in our sphere of influence. The summum bonum of Christian higher education is to prepare students for positions of influence by helping them recognize truth, love others as Christ does, do their work with excellence, think critically, and effectively communicate their thoughts with grace.
