Biography and Professional Achievements
Dr. Laura McKee is a full-time online faculty member at CCU who has worked in the mental health field since 2013. Her philosophy of education emphasizes collaboration, community, and faith integration, and her research interests include the integration of faith in counseling, missionary care, and clinical supervision.
Before coming to CCU, Dr. McKee worked as an adjunct instructor at multiple Christian institutions where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in counseling and Christian ministry. Dr. McKee is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas and her clinical areas of focus include working with individuals and couples facing a variety of difficulties such as mood disorders, ministry burnout, relationship dynamics, and trauma.
Dr. McKee is passionate about the intersection of faith and mental health and has partnered with several Christian organizations to train and equip leaders to support and strengthen mental health care in Christian ministry contexts.

Dr. McKee loves CCU's emphasis on faith integration throughout the learning process. She believes that approaching academic learning by combining a Christian worldview with critical thinking helps prepare students to engage in their fields with excellence.
