Faith and Learning
Believers are called to love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, and minds (Matthew 22:37). One of the ways we fulfill this calling is to engage our intellect and reasoning in devotion to God. Faith is an integral part of our identity and should therefore be interwoven with our learning. Abraham Kuyper wrote, "There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: 'Mine!'" This statement boldly proclaims that every part of our existence, including our academic pursuits, belongs to God. We must endeavor to love the Lord, our God and Creator, with all our hearts, souls, and minds, giving Him glory as we seek to understand His creation and purposes more fully.
