Meet Bernie
I am honored to walk alongside students as they navigate the crucial decision of where to spend the next four years of their lives. These are formative years, not to be taken lightly, that will shape you academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Because of the lifelong friendships, unparalleled experiences, and transformative spiritual development I encountered at CCU, I can confidently say I am walking the path that God has set before me. Without the intimate, Christ-centered community I lived in at CCU, I would be a completely different person. These are the intangible but powerful outcomes of a CCU education--ones I hope every student has the opportunity to experience.
Hometown: Show Low, Arizona
Education: B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting, M.A. in Biblical Studies (Colorado Christian University)
Favorite Verse: "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." - Proverbs 16:9 (ESV)
Hobbies: As a very competitive sports and exercise enthusiast, I love spending time in the gym and lifting weights. Basketball is my absolute favorite sport; I grew up playing it since I was young and have always loved it. Whether it’s watching an NBA game or jumping into a pickup basketball game, I’m there!
I also enjoy music, especially playing the guitar. I live for those rare opportunities to jam out with other musicians and create a shared artistic experience together.
My time at CCU: After visiting for the first time at a week-long preview event, I was sold on CCU! Attending this event was a crucial step in confirming my college choice. Once I officially enrolled, I became involved in several campus activities, my favorite being intramural sports.
As someone who loves athletics and thrives on competition, intramurals provided an amazing outlet to fuel my competitive drive and help me build lasting friendships. The relationships I formed at CCU remain the highlight of my college experience. Some of my roommates have become my best friends for life!
