Meet Hannah
College is often talked about as the best four years of your life, and as a recent graduate, I completely agree! It is also, I would argue, the most transformative years of your life. It is where you decide what kind of person you want to be, what people you want surrounding you, and what you want to live for. All these decisions are impacted by the environment you place yourself in.
I was blessed to attend a Christian university, and my life was changed because of it. I felt like my professors and friends truly cared about the kind of person I was becoming. I hope my testimony can be an encouragement to you about the value of a Christian education. The Lord has great plans for you, and I am excited to be a part of it!
Hometown: Littleton, Colorado
Education: B.A. in Philosophy and Communication with a minor in Biblical and Theological Studies (Wheaton College)
Favorite Verse: "But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eargles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." -Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)
Hobbies: As a Colorado native, I have a deep love for the outdoors. One of my favorite pastimes is hiking and exploring the beautiful state that I get to call home including summiting several of Colorado's 14ers. One of my favorites was Mount Elbert, the tallest mountain in both the Rockies and in Colorado! If I am not outside exploring, you can expect to find me in a Pilates class, reading a Kierkegaard or Dostoevsky novel, or line dancing! I also have the privilege of serving as a volunteer with Young Life, a high school ministry. Some of my favorite nights are the ones I spend cheering on my girls at their swim meets or enjoying dinner with my team.
Before coming to CCU: I attended Wheaton College outside of Chicago, a school very similar to CCU. My four years at Wheaton were marked by the Lord’s faithfulness, as I discovered a love for theology and philosophy, two disciplines I didn’t know I loved until I got to Wheaton! During that time, I grew so much closer to the Lord through opportunities to think deeply about His existence, goodness, and character. I also formed deep friendships with people who love Jesus wholeheartedly, the kind of friendships I prayed for in high school. Christian higher education changed my life, and I am confident it will do the same for you!
