Meet Logan
The times leading up to your first semester of college can be invigorating, uncertain, and sometimes overwhelming. That was certainly my experience, and it’s similar to one I’ve seen reflected in countless other students. College is often a time to be away from home for the first time, stepping outside your comfort zone, forming new friendships, and figuring out how to prioritize a seemingly endless stream of assignments.
But beyond all of that, college is also a wonderful opportunity to grow in your faith and build lifelong friendships. I’m thankful for the chance to walk alongside you and help propel you in your journey to living on mission for His glory!
Hometown: Ekron, KY
Education: B.S. in Psychology (Murray State University); M.A. in Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary)
Favorite verse: "For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.... To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings." – 1 Corinthians 9:19, 22-23 (ESV)
Hobbies: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, whether that involves camping, hiking, reading a good book together, or exploring eclectic and unique restaurants and coffee shops. When I’m not with her, I enjoy woodworking, cooking and baking, and CrossFit training.
Before coming to CCU: I completed a pastoral residency in Fort Collins, CO, where I focused on ministry specifically to students on the campus of Colorado State University. Prior to that, I lived in Raleigh, NC, while completing my master's degree and working with college students at North Carolina State University. Through these experiences, the Lord clearly affirmed my calling to work with college students. It is my aim to always be willing to go out of my way to share the love of Christ with those who are lost and hurting. I’m excited to bring that same ambition and passion to prospective students at CCU and to help disciple them to do the same, for His glory.
