Meet Miah
Hello! I’m Miah, and I transferred to CCU during my sophomore year of college — and it was one of the best decisions I have made! I understand how overwhelming the college search and transition can be, but here at CCU, we want you to know that you’re not alone. This is a big and exciting journey, filled with countless possibilities.
Our goal is to guide you toward opportunities and experiences that will help you grow and serve the Lord in incredible ways. My hope is that, like me, you’ll be truly transformed at CCU, and impact the world because of it!
Hometown: Navarre Beach, Florida
Education: B.A. in Global Studies and minor in Entrepreneurship (Colorado Christian University)
Favorite verse: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” - Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
Hobbies: In my free time, I love reading and writing novels. Jessica Marinos is one of my favorite authors — her work inspires me to both read and write. I also enjoy learning new languages and have been studying Korean and Japanese for several years. I hope to become fluent someday! To stay active, I enjoy playing soccer and going on hikes with my friends. Waterfall hikes are my favorite!
My time at CCU: My college years were an incredible journey of growth and fun! As a Global Studies major, I loved learning about different cultures and sharing the gospel overseas. I was able to integrate my passion for other cultures with my minor in entrepreneurship, and I had a blast writing business plans based in Japan. I was able to travel to Japan with my class one summer and study abroad in South Korea — experiences that allowed me to apply what I had learned in real-life settings. I also enjoyed leading the Missions Club at CCU and playing club soccer, both of which allowed me to build some wonderful friendships and fond memories!
