World Changers Scholarship Competition

Colorado Christian University offers a scholarship competition for the highest academic-achieving members of the incoming class with a passion for leadership and impacting the world for Christ.

The World Changers Scholarship Competition is an annual event for incoming students. Select high school seniors who intend to enroll at CCU for the upcoming academic year may receive an invitation to compete for a full-tuition World Changers Scholarship to CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies.

Three scholarship winners will be awarded a full-tuition scholarship to CCU. All students who participate in the competition receive a $1,000-per-year scholarship.

    1. The World Changers Scholarship Competition is for select prospective students who will be new freshmen at CCU beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.
    2. You must apply and be admitted to CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies by December 23, 2025, to register.
    3. The World Changers Scholarship Competition is by invitation only. You must rank among the highest academic-achieving members of the incoming class. Students who are invited to compete typically qualify for one of CCU’s top academic merit scholarships:
      • Distinguished Achievement Scholarship: Recipients are required to have a 4.0 GPA and a minimum ACT score of 30, SAT composite score of 1370, or CLT score of 97. A test score is required. Recipients of the Distinguished Achievement or Trustee’s Scholarship are required to submit ACT test scores that include the optional Science portion.
      • Trustees’ Scholarship: Recipients typically have a 3.8 GPA and an ACT score of 28, a SAT composite score of 1310, or a CLT score of 92. A test score is required. Recipients of the Distinguished Achievement or Trustee’s Scholarship are required to submit ACT test scores that include the optional Science portion.
      • President's Scholarship: Recipients of the President's Scholarship who have a 4.0 GPA or above are eligible to compete in the World Changers Scholarship Competition. If a student chooses not to submit their test scores, a President’s Scholarship is the highest merit scholarship they are eligible to receive. A test score is optional.

    4. Upon admission to CCU, students who are eligible to compete will receive a formal invitation to register for CCU’s World Changers Competition.

    Space is limited, and registration will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the event is full, registration will be closed, and a waitlist will be put into place.

The first step toward being eligible to compete in World Changers is to apply to CCU! After you submit your application and transcript, our Enrollment Team will review your application and make an admission decision, which will include evaluating your eligibility for World Changers.

    • World Changers Contestants are required to stay overnight on campus in the CCU Residence Halls and are hosted by current CCU students.
    • Limited parent programming will be available.

    More information will be provided upon formal invitation to the competition.

    Before the Competition

    Contestants are given instructions to create and submit a World Changers portfolio, which includes the following:

    • A resume
    • Two academic recommendation letters
    • An essay addressing a specific prompt
    • Three supplemental items that demonstrate passion for leadership and impacting the world for Christ.

    During the Competition

    Contestants participate in a series of scored interviews with CCU faculty and staff, including the following:

    • Individual Interview
    • Group Interview

About the World Changers Scholarship

The competition is by invitation only and occurs on campus early during the spring semester prior to intended enrollment. Three full-tuition World Changer Scholarships will be annually awarded on a competitive basis to new students who qualify for a top academic scholarship. All students invited to attend and who participate in the event, but who are not selected for a World Changer Scholarship, will receive a $1,000 scholarship in addition to their top academic scholarships.

All scholarships are renewable for a maximum of eight semesters or the completion of an undergraduate degree program, whichever occurs first, contingent on continuous enrollment in CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies. To maintain eligibility, students must maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA at CCU and meet all student aid eligibility requirements.

The World Changers Scholarship will cover full tuition, which includes the block rate for 12-18 credits, and any amount for additional credits above 18. Academic scholarships for CUS students enrolled in Bachelor’s + Master’s Dual Degree programs (3+1 or 3+2 programs) can be used for up to a maximum of eight semesters of enrollment at CCU, or the completion of an undergraduate degree program, whichever occurs first, through the College of Undergraduate Studies. World Changers Scholarship recipients are responsible for all fees and other costs associated with attending CCU. World Changers Scholarship recipients forfeit any eligibility to other CCU-based grants and scholarships.
