CCU Online Partners with Group U

Colorado Christian University is pleased to announce an innovative partnership with Group Publishing, one of the premier children’s and youth ministry publishing and training companies in the United States. The partnership provides a tuition discount to Group Publishing’s Group U students who pursue an undergraduate degree through CCU Online.

“This innovative partnership between CCU Online and Group U allows people who want to further their higher education experience to grow spiritually and academically, all while saving money and time,” said Allison Burkhart, vice president of Enrollment for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. “CCU Online’s Christ-centered approach to higher education blends seamlessly with Group U’s emphasis on training up leaders in Christian ministry.”

Group U is the online training center for Group Publishing, offering online certifications and courses in children’s and youth ministry. The partnership provides a 20% tuition discount to Group U students who pursue an undergraduate degree through CCU Online or a 10% tuition discount for those who pursue a graduate degree.

“Group U’s strategic partnership with Colorado Christian University is a win for students who want and need unique, high-quality ministry training,” said Thom Schultz, founder and CEO of Group Publishing. “Colorado Christian University and Group U will together offer this innovative way to provide practical, effective online training to ministry students, homegrown church leaders, and lifelong learners with previous degrees.”

CCU Online offers more than 90 undergraduate, graduate, licensure, and certificate options designed for working adults. The majority of courses are offered 100% online in five- to 10-week blocks, allowing students to intensely focus on a single subject and build mastery. The unique partnership between CCU Online and Group U will allow ministry leaders and volunteers to grow their skill sets to better serve the kingdom of God while continuing their individual ministry work.

“Colorado Christian University is uniquely positioned to serve Group U students who wish to pursue their education. Our Christ-centered approach, our emphasis on academic excellence, and our more than a century of experience in Christian higher education forms the bedrock on which CCU Online is built,” said Dan Cohrs, executive vice president of CCU. “The partnership with Group U will empower children’s and youth ministry leaders through continued growth and education to impact the world with grace and truth.”

CCU Online makes it possible for adult students to complete their degree, even while they are balancing busy family and work lives. The University has a generous transfer policy, allowing students to save time and money.
