Biography and Professional Achievements

Dr. Megan Cannedy is a full-time online faculty member. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and Texas. Having begun her professional career in youth ministry, Dr. Cannedy felt called to serve the needs of the church and community through clinical counseling education and practice. She has worked for over a decade in different counseling settings, including Title One designated schools, college campuses, residential programs, substance abuse programs, private practice, and faith-based organizations with diverse populations.

Dr. Cannedy currently resides in Texas with her husband and their daughter. She is a member of multiple national and state associations and served as the co-editor for Faith in Action and the Journal of Psychology and Christianity. Dr, Cannedy actively conducts research and presents on the topics of youth culture and identity formation, resiliency development, multicultural counseling, and faith-integrated counseling.
