Why CCU?
I chose CCU because of the community and the outstanding faculty. The community at CCU is unlike any other school. It's so cool to see everyone actively learning in their faith and growing together. I toured at CCU one weekend and I really felt like God was calling me here as soon as I left. There was just something different about CCU than all the other colleges I looked at.
How is your CCU experience?
My CCU experience has been amazing so far. I have enjoyed every class I have taken and have gotten some amazing instruction from my professors. I have also gotten involved in the music scene. I am super involved with the chapel team, orchestra, and jazz band here on campus. Everyone that I have met in my stairwell has also been amazing and have all helped me grow individually as a person. Going to school at CCU has been such an incredible experience and I have grown so much personally and in my faith.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree?
After CCU, I am opening myself up to a couple of options. One of those would be to hopefully go to grad school and get a master's degree in jazz studies. This would allow me to learn more about my instrument and get some very specific instruction. Another path would be to own a studio or record with a band. With having a degree in music production and performance, it really opens me up to do a lot in the music industry. I am trying to be the most versatile musician I can be.
