Armstrong Center

Dedicated in late 2024, the Armstrong Center is the academic backbone of CCU’s residential campus and one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the region. At its heart lies the Considine Chapel, providing a beautiful and contemplative space for worship and spiritual growth. The McDonald Performance Hall serves as a premier venue for student concerts, lectures, and community performances, further enriching campus life with culture and creativity.

The Center also houses the University’s expanded library, designed for individual study and collaborative research. The Jerry B. Jenkins Reading Room offers a quiet, inspiring setting that honors the renowned author’s legacy while supporting students in their pursuit of knowledge. Modern classrooms, digital media studios, and flexible gathering spaces round out this 21st-century facility, making the Armstrong Center a hub where academic excellence and Christian faith intersect.

Opened in 2017, the Anschutz Student Center serves as the living room of campus—an essential hub where community, activity, and fellowship come together. The building features multiple dining options, including the Cougar Den, a favorite spot for students to grab casual meals, and the Dining Commons, which offers a variety of fresh, healthy, and communal dining experiences.

At the heart of the building is the Fran and Larry Donnithorne Great Hall, a magnificent space that hosts worship services, concerts, and campus-wide gatherings. The Student Center also includes the Altitude 5280 Fitness Center, where students can work out and maintain healthy lifestyles, as well as the Campus Activities Office, which serves as a hub for student clubs, leadership development, and event coordination.

The Event Center serves as the home court for the Cougars’ basketball and volleyball programs while also functioning as a gathering place for the broader community. Student-athletes benefit from state-of-the-art locker rooms, a weight room, and dedicated athletic offices, ensuring that the Center supports excellence both on and off the court.

In addition to athletics, the Event Center also provides a spiritual dimension, featuring chapel space that fosters worship and fellowship. This integration of faith and athletics underscores CCU’s mission of developing leaders who exemplify Christ-centered living.

The Event Center also hosts large-scale events such as conferences, banquets, seminars, and celebrations. Its design and advanced audiovisual capabilities make it an ideal space to host gatherings that bring together students, faculty, alumni, and the broader community.

Leprino Hall stands as one of CCU’s cornerstone academic facilities. The building features 14 modern classrooms equipped with the latest instructional technology, providing students with a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Faculty offices are located throughout the building, encouraging close interaction and mentorship between professors and students. Leprino Hall also includes a 250-seat community room and restaurant, which serve as spaces for academic lectures, events, and as a welcoming place for meals, fellowship, and celebrations.

Casual seating areas and common spaces throughout the facility foster connections, study sessions, and community hangouts. With stunning views of the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, Leprino Hall is both an inspiring academic home and a vibrant community gathering place for CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies.

Directions From Denver Airport

If you’re flying into Denver International Airport (DEN), Colorado Christian University’s main campus in Lakewood is about a 40-minute drive under normal traffic conditions. From the airport, follow Peña Boulevard to I-70 West toward downtown Denver. Merge onto I-25 South, then take US-6 West toward Lakewood. Exit at Wadsworth Boulevard and head south. Turn right onto West Alameda Avenue, and CCU’s campus will be on your right at 8787 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, CO 80226.

Directions From the South

If you are driving north toward Denver from Colorado Springs or other points south, take I-25 North and follow signs toward downtown Denver. From I-25, merge onto US-6 West toward Lakewood. Stay on US-6 for about 6 miles, continuing past Federal Boulevard and Sheridan Boulevard. Exit at Wadsworth Boulevard and head south. After approximately 2 miles, turn right onto West Alameda Avenue. Colorado Christian University’s main campus will be on your right at 8787 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, CO 80226.


Parking & Visitor Information

There are designated visitor parking spaces available on both sides of the Anschutz Student Center. Visitor parking permits are required. Please visit the lobby desk in the Anschutz Student Center to check in when you arrive and request a parking pass. Please display it in your vehicle on the right side of your dashboard.

During home games, there are two parking lots on either side of the event center available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
