How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news.
– Isaiah 52:7

Located at the foothills of the Rockies, CCU equips students for the journey by offering the Biblical Exegesis and Linguistics (BABEL) major for missionary-minded students with passions for languages and intercultural ministry. Laser-focused on the University's mission to impact the world with grace and truth, the major reflects the broader call of Christians to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to all peoples through this highly specialized program emphasizing informed interpretation and skilled translation of the Scriptures for missionary purposes.

Fueled by the unprecedented progress and possibilities available in Bible translation today, the heartbeat of the BABEL degree program is to carry the Word of God into locations where it is not currently accessible through Bible translations. Offered through CCU's School of Theology, this degree emphasizes a specific missionary ministry focus on Bible translation, promoting skills of excellence in interpreting biblical language(s), expository method, hermeneutical strategy, and applied linguistics, alongside practical skills for effective service as a cross-cultural missionary.
