Bachelor of Science in Biology

The Biology degree at Colorado Christian University provides a strong foundation that prepares you for further academic study and exploration in the field of the life sciences. In addition to your natural science studies, all of our programs include courses in the arts, humanities and social sciences to prepare you for graduation in your field of expertise, all the while making you a well-rounded student. Biology majors complete the majority of their course work in classes that all involve labs: Biological Principles, Biological Diversity, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and General Chemistry. In addition, we offer courses in neurobiology, genetics, developmental biology, and bioethics.

The integration of faith and science is a cornerstone of the curriculum for every science major at CCU and especially for biology majors. A Christian perspective on bioethics, evolution, and ecology is an important dimension of the Biology degree at Colorado Christian University. Furthermore, our courses teach you how to articulate and defend Christian perspectives when it comes to ethical and controversial issues in science.
