Minor in Business as Missions

It is our privilege as Christians in business to see all vocations as missional and to be equipped to start and run a business with distinctly Christian ethics inside and outside the United States.

The Business as Missions minor prepares you to see your business as a mission, especially to be ready to start a new business through entrepreneurship in an unreached area of the world. You will learn how to ideate, create business plans, operate in overseas areas that may be hostile to the gospel, and witness with deeds and words to the truth of Jesus Christ and His redeeming work for humanity. The goal is to have businesses that make a profit and positively impact employees, customers, and the local community for Christ.

Through this program, you will understand that whatever a Christian does, they should do it for the glory of God and treat it as their mission field. You will develop entrepreneurial skills, design sustainable business models, and learn to operate effectively in diverse cultural contexts. Throughout your undergraduate career, you will build comprehensive business plans and work to secure start-up capital from external business financiers through multiple practical assignments.

Business as Missions at Colorado Christian University

Offered through CCU's School of Business and Leadership, the Business as Missions minor equips you in any major to better conceptualize and execute entrepreneurial activity for a distinctly Christian purpose. Courses not only stress working for God but teach that it is essential to work with God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to generate successful business plans, garner start-up capital, create job opportunities, and lead in a godly manner.

Reverend John Wesley famously said, "Make all the money you can, save all the money you can, so you can give all the money you can." With this minor, you will realize that all of a Christian's resources are God's resources, and you will also understand that the entire process of making businesses and money must be a mission of service to God and a positive witness to others.
