Dean of the School of Music, Professor of Music - School of Music Learn More

The School of Music is a place where students, who are serious about developing the talents and gifts that God has given them, come to study and refine their abilities in music and theater.

Our ensembles include: University Choir, University Women’s Choir, Men’s Chorus, University Symphonic Band, Chamber Strings, University Chamber Orchestra, Mainstream Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Worship Ensemble, Drumline, Handbell Ensemble, Music Theatre Ensemble, and Stage Movement/Dance.

Our goal is to graduate students of integrity and excellence who will make an impact in the arts for the sake of Christ and our culture. We are intentional about training our students to become leaders in the world as well as in our community of faith. To that end, we offer several degrees and a minor in music with areas of emphasis including performance, music production and engineering, composition, music education, and worship arts.

For those interested in theatre, we offer minors in theatre and music theatre, as well as three annual mainstage productions.

An audition is required for acceptance into all of our music degrees and the music minor. Auditions can either be in person or by video, and should be arranged through our music office. Separate auditions are required for ensembles.

Performance scholarships are available for music majors and minors, theatre minors, and for ensemble participants as a result of the audition.

The School of Music at Colorado Christian University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and hosts active chapters of CMENC and Pi Kappa Lambda Honorary Society. Faculty members are appropriately credentialed for their areas of specialization, most of whom are active performers as well as academicians.

I would be grateful for the opportunity to meet with you and learn about your plans and goals for the future, as well as to share with you in the pursuit of God's will for your life, and in developing your own personal excellence in music through the gifts God has given you.

May God bless you and direct you as you seek to know His will for your life.
