Welcome International Students! Whether you are a permanent resident with a Green Card, planning to study 100% online from your home country, or exploring options to study full-time in the U.S. with an F-1 visa, you'll find a variety of options to complete your degree through CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies.

Explore Your Degree Options at CCU

Colorado Christian University is the preeminent interdenominational Christian liberal arts university in the Rocky Mountain region. For more than 100 years CCU has been preparing students from all walks of life to impact the world with grace and truth.

CCU is a believer in the generational-changing power of higher education and welcomes adult students from around the world to reach their educational and career goals with a degree from CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS). Our accredited degree programs will help prepare you for success whether in the United States or abroad.

The majority of CAGS degree programs can be completed 100% online through CCU Online. With programs ranging from the associate to the doctoral level, CCU Online offers countless paths to reaching your educational and career goals.

We understand that when you go back to school your life doesn't stop, so our programs are designed for busy adults. Classes are typically taught in 5-week blocks that allow you focus on one course at a time. Our cohort model allows you to build relationships with your fellow students and professors as you progress together toward your degree.

Permanent Residents with Green Cards

International students with a green card are eligible to take courses through CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Students with green cards will need to provide the following to their Enrollment Counselor:

  • Copy of Green Card (verification of accurate name and currently not expired)
  • Transcript evaluation may be required

100% Online Students

International students who remain in their home country (outside the U.S.) while they complete their academic program 100% online through CCU Online will need to provide the following to their Enrollment Counselor:

  • An address outside the U.S.
  • TOEFL (PBT: 600, iBT:100, CBT: 250), IELTS (7 in each section), or Duolingo English Test (score of 120)
  • Transcript evaluation may be required

F-1 Student Visa for Study in the U.S.

An F-1 Student Visa is required for international students who wish to enter the United States as full-time students at an accredited college or university, including CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS). The only CAGS program that may accept students with an F-1 Visa is the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

The following documents/information must be provided to their Enrollment Counselor:

  • Copy of Passport
  • Official Transcripts evaluated by an acceptable CCU company as listed on the website.
    • If completed education is outside of the U.S., it must be evaluated in order to have them understood and recognized by educational institutions in the U.S. An evaluation will provide U.S. academic equivalents for education obtained outside the U.S.
  • TOEFL (PBT: 600, iBT:100, CBT: 250), IELTS (7 in each section), or Duolingo English Test (score of 120)
  • Verification of funds — completed form from the sponsor and or bank. (The form may be obtained from a CCU Enrollment Counselor.)
  • Official Acceptance Letter to the M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling program

The student will need to contact the CAGS Student Services Coordinator at 303-963-3161 or email CAGSstudentcoordinator@ccu.edu once they are an accepted student and have submitted all the requirements above to their Enrollment Counselor. Students can start the process applying for a F-1 visa up to 120 days prior to their start date.

Transfer F-1 Student

F-1 students already in the U.S. under an I-20 issued from another school who wish to transfer to CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies will need to contact their current institution to have their SEVIS record released. This is accomplished on the SEVIS database. Once this function has been completed, CCU can then activate the student's status to reflect CCU as their attending school once they have provided the F-1 required documents above. The only CAGS program that may accept students with an F-1 Visa is the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
