WAY-FM Scholarship Contest Rules

Rules for the WAY-FM Spring 2021 Scholarship Contest

The offer

All qualified entrants in the Spring 2021 CCU and WAY-FM Scholarship Contest will win a $1,000 tuition scholarship toward an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. See eligibility requirements for details.

In addition, one $10,000 grand prize tuition scholarship and one $5,000 tuition scholarship will be awarded!

How to enter and win

Enter the CCU and WAY-FM Scholarship Contest by submitting the entry form on the scholarship contest page between March 16, 2021, and March 29, 2021.

Designated grand prize winners

A random drawing for the $10,000 grand prize scholarship and $5,000 scholarship will be held in April 2021. The name of the winner will be posted on the CCU and WAY-FM Scholarship Contest website.

Once notified, the scholarship winners must accept the scholarship within 14 calendar days. If the winners do not accept the scholarship within 14 calendar days, the scholarship will be awarded to the next entrant in the random drawing.

Key deadlines for using your scholarship

  • May 14, 2021: Apply for admission to CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Submit your admission application for an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree offered through CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. See the full list of qualifying programs.
  • May 26, 2021: Submit your remaining admission materials and meet CCU admission requirements. Your admission status must be fully, provisionally, or conditionally admitted by this date. Contact your enrollment counselor or call 303-963-3311 if you have any questions about your admission status.
  • June 4, 2021: Register for classes for your degree program at CCU. See our list of qualifying academic programs. Check our College of Adult and Graduate Studies Academic Calendar for semester start dates, and check with your Enrollment Counselor for the next start date for your specific academic program.
  • June 11, 2021: Start classes in your CCU degree program.

Scholarship payments

The scholarship is designed to be distributed evenly among multiple courses in the student's degree program at Colorado Christian University, and may not exceed the cost of a course. The scholarship may only be used toward courses offered directly by CCU.

  • The recipient of the $10,000 scholarship will receive up to a $1000 tuition credit toward each of the first 10 courses in their degree program.
  • The recipient of the $5,000 scholarship will receive up to a $500 tuition credit toward each of the first 10 courses in their degree program.
  • Each $1,000 scholarship recipient will receive a $250 tuition credit toward each of the first four courses in their degree program.

Tuition credits will be deducted from the student's account balance. All course billings must be paid, or have a payment arrangement contract in place, prior to the first day of the class. The scholarship funds must be used by the Spring 2024 semester. Any unused portion will be forfeited after that date.

Eligibility requirements

  • Entrants must be at least 19 years old on March 16, 2021.
  • Entrants must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Only one entry per individual (and per email address) is permitted.
  • Scholarships may only be used toward tuition for degree programs in CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS). The scholarships are not applicable to the following CAGS programs or courses of study:
    • Core classes in the Pre-Nursing to BSN program
    • Classes in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program
    • Certificate programs
    • Stand-alone licensure programs
    • Non-degree seeking student status
  • This contest is for new students only:
    • Students who registered for, and did not drop, any CCU CAGS course prior to March 16, 2021 are not eligible for this scholarship contest.
    • Students who are actively registered for a class prior to March 16, 2021 are not eligible for this scholarship contest. (i.e. If they haven’t completed a course but they are actively registered to start, they are not eligible.)
    • Students who are actively attending a class prior to March 16, 2021 are not eligible for this scholarship contest. (i.e. If their first class started February 8, 2021, which they haven’t yet completed, they are not eligible.) Graduate students with a conferred CCU bachelor’s degree are eligible for this scholarship provided they have not started or registered for any graduate-level coursework after their undergraduate degree was completed and prior to March 16, 2021.
    • Students who were previously enrolled in any courses offered by the College of Undergraduate Studies and did not graduate are not eligible for this contest.
  • The scholarship promotion is not applicable to degree programs in CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS), which offers traditional residential-based programs.
  • Scholarships cannot be deferred beyond the deadline to start classes in the Key Deadlines section.
  • Scholarships are not transferable to another person.
  • Students who are eligible for CCU's reduced military tuition rate will not be eligible for this scholarship contest.
  • The WAY-FM grand prize scholarships cannot be combined with any other discount program or scholarship offered by Colorado Christian University, with the exception of: Winners may qualify for CCU's Professional Education Program discount in the first block following the term when the scholarship was exhausted.
  • The $1,000 scholarships cannot be combined with any other discount program or scholarship offered by Colorado Christian University, with the exception of: Winners may qualify for CCU's Professional Education Program discount in the first block following the term when the scholarship is exhausted; and, the $1,000 WAY-FM scholarship can be used concurrently with CCU’s Transfer Scholarship.
  • If a scholarship recipient is unable to meet CCU admission and scholarship contest requirements, or chooses not to enroll in a degree program at CCU during the enrollment period noted in the Key Deadlines section, the tuition scholarship will be forfeited.
  • By entering this contest, entrants authorize Colorado Christian University to contact them by phone, text messaging, mail, and/or email.
  • By accepting the scholarships, winners give Colorado Christian University ("CCU"), its successors, assigns, licensees and legal representatives the irrevocable and unrestricted right to take, record, use, reuse, and publish photographs, video/audio content, and printed matter of the grand prize winners in which they may be included. Such photographs, video/audio content, and printed matter may be used for editorial, trade, advertising, and any other purpose, in any manner and medium. CCU shall have the right to alter and composite any such images or video/audio content, and the right to edit any such printed matter, without restriction and without winner's approval.
