You're invited back to Colorado Christian University for a special weekend dedicated to our parents and families! We've planned a mix of exciting events and relaxed open time, so you can enjoy campus life with your student, explore their favorite spots, and take in the beauty of Colorado’s fall colors at their peak — a perfect opportunity to experience God’s breathtaking creation and make lasting memories together as a family!

We know there is no single weekend that works for everyone. Please check with your student about their commitments this weekend, since some student groups will already be busy. If this weekend does not work for your family, we hope you will consider visiting on another fall weekend instead. We also invite you to look at some of the events occurring in the fall semester below.

- Attend Lakewood Cider Days.
- Go on a hike: Lair O' the Bear Park | Red Rock Trail | Genesee Park.
- See the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.
- View the fall colors: Kenosha Pass Hike | Guanella Pass | Maroon Bells.
- Visit the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Zoo.
- Drive to Georgetown and enjoy a train ride in the mountains.
- Drive to Idaho Springs for Beau Jo’s Pizza and scenic hikes.
- Visit the Denver Art Museum.
- Explore a longer drive to Canon City and enjoy taking a train ride or white water rafting through the Royal Gorge.
- Stop by the city of Golden for fly fishing at Clear Creek, fun restaurants and shops, and a hike at Golden Gate Canyon State Park or Clear Creek Canyon State Park.
- Drive to Colorado Springs and visit Garden of the Gods, The Broadmoor, Glen Eyrie Castle, and Pike’s Peak.
- Take a drive to Manitou Springs for a more challenging hike up the Manitou Incline.
- Go shopping at the Castle Rock Outlets.
- Take a longer scenic drive up to Glenwood Springs and soak in the Hot Springs and the beauty of the mountains.
- Travel to Rocky Mountain National Park for some beautiful hikes and mountain views.
