Preferred Admission Process

Preferred Admission to the College of Undergraduate Studies

Preferred Admission Deadline: Submit Your Tuition Deposit by midnight (MST) on December 7, 2020.

If you are a high school senior or transfer student and CCU is one of your top college choices for Fall 2021 admission, we encourage you to take advantage of our Preferred Admission process (a non-restrictive/non-binding process). Applicants with strong test scores, high school or college grades, and extracurricular accomplishments may find this an excellent option. The Preferred Admission process may allow you to resolve your college choice early in the fall semester to avoid the necessity of submitting multiple applications.

Students who complete their online application for admission, submit all supplemental requirements, and are admitted to the University by December 7, 2020 will be eligible to receive ONE travel voucher for one student and one parent/guardian only (value up to $450) to visit Colorado Christian University. Earn an extra $4,000 scholarship and more.

Students who have applied, been admitted to the University, and have submitted a $150 non-refundable tuition deposit by December 7, are eligible to receive the following additional incentives:

  • An additional $1,000 scholarship per year ($4,000 maximum for up to eight semesters) for out-of state students
  • An additional $2,000 scholarship per year ($8,000 maximum for up to eight semesters) for in-state Colorado students
  • A special invitation to the President's Christmas Brunch at Denver's famous Brown Palace on December 6, 2020
  • Early housing registration beginning March 22, 2021
  • Priority class registration during CCU's Scholarship Recognition and Registration Weekend on April 23-24, 2021
Visit Restrictions and Eligibility for Preferred Admission Incentives

Preferred Admission program incentives are only for students that meet the qualifications for the Preferred Admission program and plan to enroll in CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies for the Fall 2021 semester.

Students admitted to the University by December 7, 2020 and who have submitted their non-refundable tuition deposit by December 7, 2020 are eligible to receive all Preferred Admission program incentives. Student will receive a $1,000 scholarship per academic year ($4,000 maximum for up to eight semesters) in addition to their other financial aid awards. To maintain eligibility, students must meet all student aid eligibility requirements while enrolled.

Out of an abundance of caution to protect our students, faculty and staff during COVID, ONE travel voucher for one student and one parent/guardian only, up to $450.00, to visit CCU for a walking tour or any on campus scheduled events to be determined, and on a first come, first served based on visit/tour availability. Visits to campus will follow strict space limitations, please contact your enrollment counselor for more information.

Students will not be eligible to receive the incentive for any travel to CCU completed prior to September 1, 2020. Students who travel to CCU by air will receive a VISA Gift Card upon arrival at CCU, but must supply their air travel receipt upon arrival to receive the incentive. The amount of the gift card will reflect the amount of the airfare, up to $450 maximum. Students wishing to drive to CCU from a distance of 200 miles or greater will qualify to receive a $150.00 VISA gift card and should contact their enrollment counselor directly for more information. Eligible travel must be completed by March 12, 2021.

Students who are currently enrolled in CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies or College of Adult and Graduate Studies do not qualify for Preferred Admission.
