    Prior Learning Credit

Earn Credit for your Life Learning Experiences

CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies encourages adult learners to use their extensive life learning to earn an undergraduate degree. Prior learning credit is that opportunity for degree seeking adults to earn college-level credit for what they know.

Students may earn prior learning credit for all elective and various general education requirements. The cost of prior learning credit options is a fraction of the cost of tuition. Using prior learning can be very rewarding for adults as they experience the value that their current skills, competencies, and achievements contribute toward their degree.

Some examples of Prior Learning Credit are available by:

    • ACE Credit (American Council on Education)
    • CLEP Exams (College Level Examination Program)
    • DSST Exams (Formerly DANTES)
    • Credit by Portfolio
    • … and more!
