Meet Faith

Life is a crazy thing, especially life after high school! You have so many hopes, dreams, desires, and fears. The world truly is your oyster! I don't know if God will lead you to CCU or if He has something else in mind...but I do know whatever He has up His sleeve, it involves seeking Him and trusting Him to come through for you. Because that's just what He does! I am excited to talk and pray with you as you plan and dream about life after graduation.

Hometown: Fairbury, Illinois

Education: Family and Human Development (Arizona State University)

Favorite Verse: "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)

Hobbies: While not technically hobbies, these activities bring me the most joy: a steep hike in the mountains with a beautiful lake view at the top, my family's annual summer vacation where all 40 of us spend three days playing sports and board games, the times where I get to be in ministry serving those in need/talking about Jesus, and having a randomly delicious meal in a new city that I'm in the middle of exploring.

Before I came to CCU: After graduating high school, I started college to become a nurse like I had planned for my entire life, but I dropped out after two weeks. I spent the next few years working in coffee shops, traveling, building a strong faith community, and having anxiety about what God's will was for my life. He ended up leading me to Atlanta, where I spent five years ministering to women in the sex industry and was inspired to become a counselor. In the beginning of 2021, the Lord did some amazing things to bring my husband and I to Colorado. Now, I am thrilled to get to work at this amazing University, as well as participate in CCU's graduate program for clinical counseling!
