Logan Burchett

Meet Logan

The times leading up to your first semester of college are invigorating, uncertain, and worrisome. This was my experience and is similar to countless other students I have met. College is a time to be away from home for the first time, a time to step out of your comfort zone and make friends, and a time to figure out how to prioritize the million assignments you receive. Bigger than that though, college is a wonderful opportunity to grow in your faith and make life-long friendships. I am thankful to be able to come alongside you and help propel you in your journey to living on mission for His glory!

Hometown: Ekron, KY

Education: M.A. Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary); B.S. Psychology (Murray State University)

Favorite verse: "For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.... To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings." – 1 Corinthians 9:19, 22-23

Hobbies: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, whether that involves camping, hiking, reading a good book together, or exploring eclectic and unique restaurants and coffee shops. When I am not with her, however, I enjoy building woodworking, cooking/baking, and CrossFit.

Before I came to CCU: I completed a pastoral residency in Fort Collins, CO where I specifically reached the campus of Colorado State University. Before CSU, I lived in Raleigh, NC where I was completing my Master's degree while working with college students at North Carolina State University. It was through these experiences that the Lord made clear to me that working with college students was where I am called to be and it is my aim to always be willing to go out of my way to share the love of Christ with the lost and hurting. I am looking forward to taking this ambition and passion to prospective students at CCU and to help disciple them to do the same for His glory.
