Direct Admission Requirements

Direct admit nursing students apply for admission to the BSN program through the College of Undergraduate Studies. The priority deadline for the nursing program for Fall 2027 is February 1, 2027. However, applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the enrollment capacity is reached.

Direct admission to the BSN program is available for students who enter CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies as freshmen. Students must complete the BSN prerequisites during their freshman and sophomore years before progressing to the BSN nursing major courses at the beginning of their junior year.

Incoming students must apply for admission to the College of Undergraduate Studies as Nursing majors. This highly competitive pathway provides students with direct progression to the BSN nursing major following their sophomore year, contingent on the successful and satisfactory completion of all BSN progression requirements.

Applicants to the nursing program will be notified if they qualify for a seat in the cohort by March 1, 2027. Students who have not submitted the $200 tuition deposit by the Preferred Admission deadline (February 1, 2027) will be required to submit the deposit when they complete the nursing program agreement, confirming their seat in the cohort.

Please note that we do not offer direct admission seats to students transferring to CCU. In addition, we do not offer direct admission seats for the spring semester to incoming freshman students.

Should you choose to compete for a seat in our BSN program through our competitive track, you may discuss this with your Life Directions Center advisor once you are enrolled at CCU. If you have any questions at this time, please reach out to your enrollment counselor.

In addition to meeting College of Undergraduate Studies admission requirements, Nursing students must qualify for a CCU academic scholarship at the Dean's Scholarship level or above.

Per the CCU residency requirement, traditional undergraduate students are required to live on campus during their freshman and sophomore years and have the option to live on campus during their junior and senior years. In addition, 100% of core/major nursing classes must be completed through CCU.
