Minor in Military Science – Army

A minor in Military Science – Army provides you with an understanding of the U.S. Army and teaches you leadership skills applicable in any environment. Supporting CCU's goal of producing ethical and professional leaders, this minor (complementary to most degree fields) promotes the development of high-caliber leaders of character, based on the Army Leader Requirements Model, which assesses desired attributes and competencies of Army officers.

As one of the most trusted institutions in the United States, the Army produces top-tier leaders through programs such as Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). Students completing this minor will obtain in-demand occupational development with skills such as leadership, communication, and commitment, transferable to a wide variety of career possibilities.

The Military Science – Army minor offers a concentrated area of coursework in leadership development to supplement your major field of study. Enrollment in Military Science – Army courses is open to any student of any major with no obligation to the Army or to ROTC for all lower-level courses. (For students wishing to continue pursuing the advanced upper-level courses, students must sign a contract with U.S. Army Cadet Command requiring service on Active Duty, in the Army Reserves, or the Colorado National Guard.)
