Liberal Arts

"It is not so very important for a person to learn facts. For that he does not really need a college. He can learn them from books. The value of an education in a liberal arts college is not learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks."

Albert Einstein, American physicist (1879-1955)

Why Liberal Arts?

The Liberal Arts major at Colorado Christian University is ideal for those who would like to teach, or for anyone seeking to be trained in a variety of subject matters. A Liberal Arts degree also prepares you for further study in graduate school and opens up limitless career opportunities.

Liberal Arts in the Christian University

Looking for a well-rounded degree that will offer you a taste of just about everything higher education has to offer? The liberal arts major is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide you with a broad exploration of the ideas, values, issues, and heritage of civilization. Throughout the program, you'll develop an understanding of the arts and sciences, how they relate, and how they can be integrated with Christian thought.

Liberal Arts Emphases

Students who major in Liberal Arts have the opportunity to select one or more emphases in the following: Communication, English, Global Studies, History, Political Science, or Psychology. In each of these functional areas, students learn about the latest developments in the field with the added value of learning how to integrate faith, learning, and living.
