• Master of Organizational Leadership – Admission Requirements

    Applying for Admission

    Admission to the Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) program is selective. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of previous academic performance, personal and professional accomplishments and goals, and strength of character. A strong desire to complete graduate-level work in a Christ-centered, biblically based community is important.

    The application for admission to CCU's MOL program is available online, giving you the flexibility to complete your application and access required documents in multiple stages.

    Your first step in the application process is to Create an Account. The information from this secure account will automatically be entered on your online application, simplifying the process to complete the application.

    If you have any questions, please contact your CCU Enrollment Counselor to assist you with the application process.

    Admission Requirements

    • Complete the graduate admission application online.
    • Submit your resume or Curriculum Vitae through the online application process.
    • Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended. Note: Your transcript(s) must prove completion of a post-baccalaureate degree at a regionally accredited university. In addition, you must have a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. The grade point average minimum may be waived in certain situations. Some students who qualify for admission may be admitted conditionally. At the end of the student’s first semester, the student's academic progress will be reevaluated to determine their academic standing.
    • Complete (grade C or better) any needed prerequisite courses. Review the MOL prerequisites prior to application submission.
    • Obtain one Letter of Recommendation from an employer or pastor. Download CCU's Letter of Recommendation form (PDF) and mail it as soon as possible to the person(s) you would like to complete it on your behalf.
    • Preferred, a minimum of five years of combined experience in any professional endeavors specific to organizational/community-wide leadership and development. Or, submit a brief admission cover letter to the Office of Admission (500-1,000 words) about your life experiences, specifically:
      - Your employment history, including part-time summer jobs, volunteerism, exemplary athletics, scouting, recognized academic excellence, honor societies, or missions field work;
      - Include key influences that shaped your worldview for better or worse;
      - How you have managed to apply key learnings or overcome adversity, if applicable, and/or contributed to other's well-being, emotional and social development and commitments to God, family, liberty and justice.
    • The Office of Admission reserves the right to request additional information as deemed necessary to make a selection decision.

    International Candidates

    An international candidate is one whose first language is any other than English or any candidate who has completed a college or university degree outside the United States.

    • Students whose first language is not English must also submit TOEFL scores. (Students completing a four-year degree from an accredited U.S. university may be exempted from TOEFL requirements in some cases.) The minimum recommended score for TOEFL is 550.

    Application Deadlines

    You can enter the Master of Organizational Leadership program at multiple points in the academic year. You should complete the admission process as early as possible so you will have adequate time to work with an advisor and qualify for financial aid.

    Transfer of Courses

    Students may transfer up to six semester hours of graduate credit from a regionally accredited college or university. The coursework must be comparable to that offered at CCU and fulfill the CCU MOL degree requirements.
