Build your career with an A.S. in Computer Info Technology

The Associate of Science in Computer Information Technology (CIT) includes general education courses, information technology courses, and electives, offering you a faith-based liberal arts education and degree program with a strong technology foundation.

The Computer Information Technology associate degree will provide you with an introductory set of computer skills relevant to today's IT field. You will actively learn how to meet business and communication needs utilizing best computing practices.

Beginner computer programming; database development and administration; software and application design; and internet development

As a CIT associate's degree major, you will also be equipped with introductory technical skills and a core business education, all with a Christ-centered perspective. This will enable you to demonstrate excellence in the workplace and in your life beyond the classroom. With this technical skill set, you will find yourself prepared for introductory positions in a variety of areas, such as computer programming language and coding, technical support and application, web design, operating systems, software development, as well as other emerging technical fields.

    For adult students interested in beginning or completing their undergraduate degree, the College of Adult and Graduate Studies at Colorado Christian University offers a variety of flexible educational opportunities. These include bachelor's degree programs that open new doors for your career, associate degree programs to help you build a strong foundation, and certificate programs to give you that extra edge.

    Admission Requirements

    • Complete the adult undergraduate application online.
    • Provide your enrollment counselor with a copy of your state-issued driver's license or a state-issued identification card. This ID must include your photo and be within the expiration date. If you are an international student, visit our international student admissions page for more information or contact your enrollment counselor with any questions.
    • Submit proof of your high school graduation or completion. This must be your high school transcript with graduation date, a copy of your high school diploma, or a copy of your high school equivalent certificate (GED).

    Admission to Licensure Programs

    Admission to a licensure program in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies does not guarantee licensure at the completion of the program. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they meet all licensure requirements, which often includes a background check.

    For students who may wish to seek licensure, CCU has provided professional licensure disclosures to aid students in determining specific state requirements for professional licensure. Each state makes the final determination if an individual is eligible to sit for licensure based on the rules and regulations of that state at the time a student applies for licensure.

    Admission Timelines

    Colorado Christian University's College of Adult and Graduate Studies offers accelerated degree completion programs for adult students. Courses are typically offered in five-week blocks. You can enter CCU at the beginning of any adult studies course. This gives you the flexibility to start at virtually any time during the year. CCU operates on a standard semester time frame. Semesters include spring, summer, and fall.

Complete an online information technology associate degree in two years... or less!

The 60-hour associate degree in CIT can be completed in less than two years, even without any prior coursework. However, you can complete your study faster if you already have college, military, or technical credits. Find out how many transfer credits you may be able to receive!

What can you do with an associate degree in Computer Information Technology?

The CIT associate degree prepares you for entry-level jobs in computer information technology, such as computer programming, network design and management, technical support, application design, cloud computing, and information securities.

In addition, the associate degree will provide a foundation for further career advancement and additional career paths if you continue on to complete your bachelor's degree in a related field. All 60 credit hours of courses from the CIT associate degree may be applied to the Bachelor of Science in Computer Information technology at CCU.
