Are you looking for leadership graduate degree programs? CCU’s Master of Organizational Leadership program is focused on effective organizational leadership in today's uncertain and constantly changing world.

As a student in CCU's Master's in Organizational Leadership program, you will focus on applying leadership principles to real-world social problems, such as environmental issues, immigration, health care, genetic engineering, human rights, and more. You will zero in on specific contemporary issues that challenge leaders in government, nonprofits, business/economics, community, education, and religion.

Program Focus

Legal issues in management; constitutional law; social technology and emerging media; and leadership in government and nonprofit organizations

You will also explore the concept of “servant leadership,” and consider how to incorporate the eternal wisdom and love of Jesus Christ in the way you lead others. And you will actively engage in endeavors that have a sustainable impact in public policy and social change — encouraging you to think globally and take action locally.

Part of your preparation will come in the form of applying scholarship to systems of communication, including social media. The course on social technology and public policy will provide you with unique learning opportunities and robust participation in the American democratic process and the rules and regulations that influence public policy. By utilizing social media in a positive way, you can influence others while better understanding yourself and your purposes in the process.

    • Courses are taken one at a time and are typically completed in five-week blocks
    • Designed for busy adult learners; complete in as little as 15 months of consecutive coursework, even with a full-time job

  • Admission to the MOL Program

    Admission to the Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) program is selective. The admissions process for this Organizational Leadership degree evaluates applicants on the basis of previous academic performance, personal and professional accomplishments and goals, and strength of character. A strong desire to complete graduate-level work in a Christ-centered, biblically-based community is important.

    Application Deadlines

    You can enter the M.A. in Organizational Leadership program at multiple points in the academic year. You should complete the admission process as early as possible so you will have adequate time to work with an advisor and qualify for financial aid.

    Prerequisite Coursework

    All applicants to CCU's MOL program are required to have fulfilled a prerequisite course for Statistics.

    Admission Requirements

    • Complete the graduate admission application online (including essay if GPA is below 2.5).
    • Submit an official transcript that reflects a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited higher education institution.
    • Admission also depends on evaluation of academic performance, and candidates must have a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants with an undergraduate grade point average between 2.0 and 2.49 will be admitted on a conditional admit (CAD) basis for the first semester. CAD students must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better in their first nine (9) credits to remain in the program.
    • Complete (grade C or better) any needed prerequisite courses. Review the MOL prerequisites prior to application submission.
    • Preferred, a minimum of five years of combined experience in any professional endeavors specific to organizational/community-wide leadership and development. Or, submit a brief admission cover letter to the Office of Admission (500-1,000 words) about your life experiences, specifically:

      • Your employment history, including part-time summer jobs, volunteerism, exemplary athletics, scouting, recognized academic excellence, honor societies, or missions field work;
      • Include key influences that shaped your worldview for better or worse;
      • How you have managed to apply key learnings or overcome adversity, if applicable, and/or contributed to other's well-being, emotional and social development and commitments to God, family, liberty and justice.
    • The Office of Admission reserves the right to request additional information as deemed necessary to make a selection decision.

    Transfer of Courses

    Students may transfer up to six semester hours of graduate credit from an accredited college or university. The coursework must be comparable to that offered at CCU and fulfill the CCU master's degree in Organizational Leadership requirements.
